Nightgown

Riley has been asking for awhile for a nightgown. I've been supplying her with my usual answer of, "We'll have to look for one next time we're at the store," figuring she will forget about it by then. Well, finally my trick caught up with me, and we ended up with this:



I'm not a huge fan of licensed  character clothing, but man, she LOVES this nightgown.



Getting Ready

After playing for a bit on the swings, the kids helped to bring things to the shed to store during Hurricane Irene. Too bad a hurricane is coming. The garden is looking great today.

Friendly Farm

Today we took out annual trip to the Friendly Farm in Dublin. Riley wasn't as afraid of the goats as last year and had fun feeding them. She did not like the sheep at all because they were huge and very pushy for food. We had lunch after seeing all of the animals. The kids both enjoyed themselves, but we enjoyed it too because we didn't tell Riley where we were going, so she spent all morning guessing and figured it out once we got there. After we took them for some surprise ice cream at Ava Marie's. Yum!

Boston Children's Museum

The other day we went to the Children's Museum in Boston with Leah and her family. Riley and Leah had lots of fun together and Caleb enjoyed himself lots, too.  Riley enjoyed herself so much that she refused to climb down out of the net maze when it was time to go. We had to pretend that Leah was missing so Riley would come down and help look for her!

Cape

Riley and I took a little trip recently to visit my friend Shannon on the cape. Riley loved the beach, the little sand chair Shannon's husband, Dean, made her, and having her first ice cream sundae.
