Merry Christmas!

The day flew by, but we all still has a great time! I continue to have a hard time taking good pictures with my phone, so if there are any good ones Robin probably took them with her good camera. I always try to take pictures of the kids while they're opening presents, but it just goes so fast, the kids are just blurs. Merry Christmas everyone!

Almost there...

It's Christmas Eve and we had a busy day. I cooked and Chris cleaned. Nana and Grampy came and we had pizza for dinner. We lit paper bag lanterns, tried to send a lantern into the sky (but failed) and baked cookies. Riley and Caleb traded gifts then ran up to bed in anticipation of Santa's arrival.

Someone finally lost her first tooth! Yay Riley and yay for not having to have it pulled! 

Happy thanksgiving!

We have lots of things to be thankful for this November! Riley and Caleb's first first  cousin was born two weeks ago tomorrow. We all continue to be happy and healthy. (Though the almost 6 year old and her dramatic episodes plus her 3 year old brother's tantrums have given us a few gray hairs!) We have a great family that enjoys being all together an the kids frequently get to enjoy both sets of their grandparents at the same time. We will also be thankful is Riley's first loose tooth (which has been wiggly forever) falls out on its own so we do t have to have it pulled out in January like the dentist wants. Ouch to the mouth and the pocketbook!

Apple picking

Today is a beautiful day, so we took the kids apple picking. I love apple picking because I love apples, the kids love picking them, and it doesn't take long. Caleb was quickly over the apple picking and was ready to go as soon as his feet got wet.

The first day of school was a success! Both kids can't wait to go back and Riley loved riding the bus! 

Maine vacation #2

Two weeks ago Bruce and robin rented a house up in the Lake Region of Maine that was right on a big lake. We took the kids up for four nights and enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the out of doors. Riley enjoyed swimming and Chris enjoyed fishing. Strangely enough, I didn't put my feet in the water the entire time,  but Chris swam enough to cut his toe doing a Shamu flop off the deck to land on the blow up inflatable of the same name and also swam out with Bruce and Cyndy to rescue Uncle Don who had capsized the canoe. The sunsets were incredible, it never rained, and Auntie Susan brought both a treasure hunt for the kids and floating lanterns to send off at sunset.
