Happy Birthday Buddy!

Caleb turned two today! We just can't believe how big our baby has gotten. We spent the morning at the New Hampshire Children's Museum then ran some errands. Both kids had leftover party cupcakes for dessert tonight. Then Caleb took a phone call from Uncle Peter and Aunt Laura. Though he didn't say much, he was happy for the call and ran over when I told him the phone was for him.

Toothy chocolate grin!

Cleaning up after a few bites. He doesn't like cake on his hands.

Party!

Today we had Caleb's second birthday party! (His real birthday is on Tuesday.) We had a small crowd - just Grandpa and Grandma, Uncle Peter and Aunt Laura, and Jenn with James and Annelise, but we still had a great time! Riley gave Caleb a singing card that seems to be his favorite thing. Both kids were exhausted and took nice naps after.

Yay for blowers!

Cake presentation.

Blowing out the candles on a Mickey Mouse cupcake cake of my own design.

Getting a little help from Riley with the candles.

Tired boy or cake coma?

Psyched about party favor bubbles!

Playing with new train pieces. Now we an make an even taller hill!

Riley with the remote control train controller. I don't think Caleb has figured out just how cool this is yet.

I also finished some earrings while the kids napped!

Oh, F---ebruary

As a mom with two busy little ones, I just don't take as many pictures as I used to. When Riley was a baby, I would take a million pictures every day because every day was new and different, and it was all just so CUTE! So many of those pictures are exactly the same as the ones from the day before. Looking back at the pictures of her first years, it's more like "What outfit is she wearing today?" or "Oh! Look! She's smiling at me again!" There is nothing wrong with those pictures, and I love them; however, there are a ton of them, and I'm too busy to take every single outfit/smile photos these days. Sorry Caleb, I guess you're falling into the younger child/fewer photos adage. With the thought in mind that I haven't updated the blog in awhile - because I haven't taken any photos - I took a few this week and they're pretty cute.
They like to play a game where they tuck each other in with their "Nana Blankies" on the floor and pretend to take naps.

Don't know if this is a smile attempt or a football grimace attempt.
