The weather recently has been up and down. Last week when Nana visited we has fairly nice days with warmish temps. Then the day after she left we got this crazy rain dumping Nor'easter that you may have heard about on the news. Chris even had a "rain day" from school. (My district did too, actually.) Now, the rain has stopped and it's gorgeous out. Not a cloud in the sky and high 50s.
With the weather so nice, I figured Riley and I would do a little seed starting today. She counted out the seeds and put them in the cups of soil for me and then helped me water them. She was very excited about the whole thing and I hope she stays excited as the seeds start to grow!
She also had some fun hanging out on the floor with Caleb this evening, but is working on reigning in her excitement a bit so she be more gentle.
Caleb is one month old today! It has been a short month with him being born on the last day of February he's also only weeks old today.

Riley and I were happy to notice yesterday that we have sprouting seeds already! All of our zinnia cups have sprouted and a few of the dahlia cups. She has been helping me water them.
Caleb weighed 8lbs 10oz at his 2 weeks checkup last Tuesday - up almost a whole pound since birth. We've noticed over the past few days that he definitely looks chunkier!

On the very last day of February vacation we welcomed a new member of our family into the world. Caleb Thomas Heider was born at 10:03 pm on Sunday 2/28. He was 7 pounds 13 ounces and 20 inches long. 
Riley was super excited to meet him and the very first thing she did once she had him on her lap was reach over, gently squeeze his little nose and say"HONK".
