Grandma's Birthday

The Family

This weekend we went down to Ashland to celebrate Grandma Crawford's 90th birthday. As I mentioned before we left, the entire family was there and lots of grandmas friends, too. The weather didn't cooperate and was generally cold and gloomy, but there was a tent with sides in the backyard and Grandma C. even sprung for the propane tent heater which blew nice hot air into the tent. The only big glitch was that once the caterers arrived yesterday fuses kept blowing. Then while the uncles were trying to solve the fuse problem, they discovered water in the basement. It also seems that all of the power surges blew Grandma's oven. She didn't seem fazed by it and only mentioned that she wanted a new dishwasher too. I should also mention that the oven was probably 30 years old anyway.

Riley was fairly well behaved. She slept ok in the hotel. She did feel the need to blow out many diapers so that she could show all of the relatives her different outfits. Riley's second cousins all loved watching her and playing with her. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
